I really like the fantastical nature of the world the author has built in this story. It’s so detailed and well fleshed out, creating scope for many more adventures by other characters.

I also enjoyed the female lead’s willingness to grab the opportunity to adventure and the male lead’s willingness to learn to be flexible. Their fated mate bond over multiple lifetimes was a special touch and I enjoyed how they engaged with both supportive and antagonistic secondary characters.

The story is dual POV, well written, and something quite different to read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This isn't the steamiest book in the world. But it had heart, lots of action and plot and was just beautiful. All the characters seemed real life. There was one steamy scene. Lots of budding love and tension. There are plant lifeforms. So my head cannon is saying it's the Sylvari.

I did get this as an advanced reader copy but I am submitting my honest review
