I learned a lot about the frev from this for sure! I really appreciated a more nuanced discussion that tried for accuracy instead of just regurgitating Thermidorian propaganda that he was just bloodthirsty and evil. While this book didn’t tell the reader what to think, it did explain why Marat did everything he did and showed that he really was loyal primarily to the people and a leader. This was really good and I’ll prob be researching this topic further.
