Dark and creepy and so fascinating with fabulous flawed characters. I usually stay away from horror as I don't usually connect with the story or I get too scared. However, this writing was just beautiful and I couldn't put it down. I wasn't reading for answers, I was reading for the characters to see how they developed and what they did and how they survived. As someone who has felt creeped out by haunted feelings in houses, those feelings of being watched and the alive darkness were so spot on. I really recommend this suspenseful story!

LOVED this! Compelling, emotional, and truly spooky. After reading this and Vampires of El Norte, I will definitely be buying and reading anything else Isabel Cañas writes the minute it’s published.
