Ever since we met Lilah I have been looking forward to her story. She is a beloved by everyone in Captivity and has a lot of family and people willing to help her out. However, she is a stubborn woman who wants to do things on her own. She feels guilty about Shea's death and can't accept the help that his family is willing to give her. When her mother finds out, Ford offers her a place to stay. Ford is the type of man that is willing to put his happiness on the line in order to do what is right for everyone around him, even if he is miserable in the end. Ford has had a thing for Lilah for a long time. He just feels that she is to young for him. However, with everything going on her life, she knows that she has grown up and matured, she has had to.

I absolutely enjoyed Lilah and Ford's book and seeing the other characters in this series. Captivity is a town full of family, people willing to do whatever is necessary for their neighbors, and they all work together. I love how the characters work hard for everything they have and how they also know how to have fun. I love how each character has their own back story, whether it is happy or sad, and it is written into their present story as well. I went into this series not knowing what to expect but getting to know Trace, Lizzy, Bridget, Archer, Ford, and Lilah has been an adventure, one that long to have friends and family like these characters. I highly recommend this book and this series!

Knocked Up In Alaska was a super emotional romance and I really enjoyed it. The pining and tension between Lilah and Ford had me gripped from start to finish. I haven't read the previous books in the series but this felt like a solid ending to a series, bringing back previous main characters and showing glimpses of their lives post HEA. I do think the ending could have been longer. The final conflict between main characters was resolved very quickly after it taking a long while to get there. I like more groveling after one character pushes the other away, but that's just personal preference. Readers who like kids and babies in romance will enjoy this, and swoon for Ford and Lilah til' the end.

Thanks to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've been happily and heavily invested in this series since book one, Wild in Captivity , with Isabelle and Trace taking centre stage. Book two, Playing Dirty in Alaska , brought us Bridget and Archer and after much demand from us readers who simply couldn't get enough of this wonderful world Samanthe has created, we finish the trilogy with Knocked Up in Alaska with Lilah and Ford.

After giving a very generous five star rating to Playing Dirty in Alaska which absolutely knocked my socks off, I was very excited to see if Knocked Up in Alaska could follow in its shoes to make it two-for-two. Stay tuned at the end of this review to find out just how I ended up rating it. I promise you won't be disappointed.

' Everyone in Captivity, Alaska now knows Lilah Iquat’s big (and getting bigger) secret. She’s knocked up. Pregnant. All it took was a foolish decision with lasting consequences. Now Lilah’s going it alone—with the help of the town. But with one particular craving getting stronger, Lilah has her eyes on just one thing: too-sexy Ford Langley.'

As the title suggests and gives away, this story focuses around a pregnancy involving our starring lady for this novel, Lilah. The question here raised is this, will the pregnancy last the entirety of the novel, or just a portion? You'll have to read it to find out! I definitely respect Samanthe's choice to write it how she has, as it gave us a chance to see around that one aspect of the book and see the world around the characters and everything slowly coming to a close. Brilliantly done!

Now, onto Lilah and Ford. Seeing these two woven throughout the last two books only means that the excitement was more than there for when they got a book of their own, and now that it's here, I'm sad it's over. But not in a bad way. Samanthe has a way of capturing your interest while making you devour her books at the same time. You want to get to the end to see how it plays out, but you also want to make it last (especially more so when it's the last int the series). Knocked Up in Alaska really hit home with the feels, hitting you right in the bookish heart. It's definitely a read that will have you ping-ponging between happiness, anger, frustration and sadness. Again, none of that is negative but demonstrates the hold Samanthe has on us as readers through her skilful writing.

This book out of all the ones in this series I personally think best shows the growth of the characters, specifically Lilah and Ford in this case, and demonstrates the true meaning of 'love conquers all'. It really does. Ford and Lilah had more than their fair share of speed bumps on the road to their happily ever after, but it--like this series--is a road well worth travelling down to get to the destination. And that destination is Captivity, Alaska.

Although I am very sad to say goodbye to Captivity and its characters, I can firmly say that this is a series that has made both my must read and top read lists. Samanthe has done a fantastic job of cementing me as a firm reader of hers and I cannot wait to read what she has coming out next in the near future.

4.5 stars for Knocked Up in Alaska , Lilah, Ford & Samanthe!

This is the first [a:Samanthe Beck|6943520|Samanthe Beck|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1605142470p2/6943520.jpg] book I've read, I am sorry I didn't start with books 1 and two first but this ones plot sounded amazing and right up my ally.

I loved it! I was even younger than Lilah when I had my daughter so seeing the community rallying around her made me wish I had that when I was pregnant and dealing with becoming a single teen mom. While my own daughter is now a bit younger than Lilah is in this book (shes 19) I don't think I could ever act like how Rose did, even though I have the same hopes and dreams as Rose did for Lilah.

But I loved it, I loved Ford though he does make me want to slap him at times, I love that Beck brought back certain characters to help him develop as a person, I loved how Lilah grew as a person, I loved the community and I can't wait to read more of Ms Beck's books, I am buying books 1 and 2 right after I hit submit.

The ONLY regret (it's not really a regret, more like a reminder for me in the future) I have about reading this is not checking page length prior to starting the book, I'm a fast reader and so when I started this book around midnight last night I was like "oh I'll be done in an hour or two..." yeah 4 hours later and I finished this book and went to bed, 4 hours of sleep, and my dog was like "Mom let me sing you the song of my people because it's time to get up!" So I'll be tired today to say the least.

Lilah is in pretty much the worst spot- pregnant with the father having passed away and a mother who’s abandoned her. In comes Ford who’s always had his eyes on her and wants nothing more than to help her, especially when she’s at her lowest. Ford has a surprise of his own that helps him understand Lilah’s plight. Overall, it was a good read, not great. It drags a bit and the 3rd person got confusing at parts.

Steam was low, drama was low so it’s a nice pallet cleanser.

One of my favorite tropes is the surprising pregnancy. I enjoyed this romance for many reasons. I love the protectiveness of Ford and the innocence of Lilah. Every once in and while we need a story that this wholesome and cute.

Lilah is pregnant and lost. One moment of rebellion has landed her in this position. She has a great support system but she doesn't feel supported as she should.

she needs to grow up quickly and Ford seems to be the best person to lean on.

I loved the supporting characters - they made a funny backstory. I had a great time reading this story

This was a pleasant surprise. You have a Lilah who is sweet but stubborn and you have Ford who is also sweet and equally stubborn. Ford is a ex-military turned bar owner in a small Alaskan town that has lived his life. While Lilah born in raised is the town and on her way to college after finishing some courses at a local college. Ford had his reserves about Lilah because of the age gap but he is also protective of her and has been fighting his attraction for her. While the attraction grows they find themselves relating on an unexpected thing. I would absolutely recommend!
