Can Thomas Hardy ... Please let a woman find happiness?!
Not everything is 'our' fault Tom. 

Hardy has a way of making sad stories, unfair stories, often infuriating stories... a joy to read.

I really enjoy this author, and this was the 6th book of his that I read. It was slow going for me through 3/4 of the story, but the last 1/4 was much better and redeemed it for me.

This is okay but also somewhat bland. There are a few lines that hint at Hardy's later wit and writing skill, but I think that there's a reason more people know Tess of the D'Urbervilles than A Pair of Blue Eyes.
