This one was a sad read for me. I struggle with depression and I was even suicidal in my teen years after my mother died. This one hit home a lot with me. It only got four stars because it was shorter than it felt like it should have been. The ending seemed rushed and I wanted more to the story.

"It was a tightness in my chest, yet a hole where something should be that wasn’t there, and a light-headedness as if I were watching everything happening to me without truly experiencing it."

"“It’s like there’s less color in everything. The sky is darker. The world is dimmer. Things that used to be fun, like singing, just make me tired now. I’ve been trying so hard for so long now that I deserve to rest. It’s selfish for you to ask me to withstand it when I can barely get out of bed most days.”"

This was an interesting POV from someone who tried and failed to commit suicide, but it seemed more like it was written by someone from the outside, not someone who has actually tried.

It's not bad it's just very short so I didn't really connect with the characters and it felt like the ending was rushed

It is amazing that the author stepped forward and brought awareness to such a silent issue. My only problem was how rushed everything felt, especially towards the end. I understand that this was a novella but a couple pages more would have made it feel more complete.

The Day I Died - E.B Black - 3 Stars

It was a short and quick read, had a few quotes which I could relate to.
Honestly there is not much to say about this one?

Some characters irritated me so much ugh. But still, it was too short which is why I don’t really had any attachments to the characters.
Still, it is an important topic and I am glad to see it represented.

‘’Because I was always crying and just didn’t want it to hurt anymore. Because I was tired of always feeling like such a burden to everyone I cared about. (P. 11)

Short and on point

I do wish the story would have been dreper and a tad bit longer. It was less than an hour read overall and still I have question What happened to the one last faithful friend standing. Guess I Will never know. Anyways it wasnt bad, but it lacked depth and continuity
