After We Collided

3.37 AVERAGE

This book picks up after Tessa finding out about Hardins secret, Tessa goes on with her life and takes an intership doing what she loves. Hardin is dealing with the absence of Tessa and its definitely getting to him. After Tessa has a night out she drunkily calls Hardin and they end up sleeping together. Tessa sets out to look for her father who left when she was younger. Hardin helps Tessa find her father. Hardin's mother comes to visit and eventually befriends Tessa. This book mostly focuses oh Hardin and why hes the way he is and by the end of the book you'll have a very different outlook on Hardin.

Admittedly, this is probably my favorite book of the After series!

Wow, I didn’t think that it could be any better than the first one but it was just as good! I couldn’t stop reading!

So much happened in this book, the storyline was incredible, the characters went through so much.

Hardin and Tessa were so back and forth, it was confusing at times. But when they were on, well the scenes were definitely steamy!

Zed definitely started to annoy me in this book a lot, like just leave them alone, don’t keep getting involved.

Tessa actually did start to annoy me too a bit, she started pulling the I’m perfect card but was actually not in this book at times! I’m surprised to feel that but I actually felt like Hardin was trying at times to be better!

The ending was quite a surprise, didn’t expect that to happen but it definitely sets things up for the next book!

Overall, a great book that definitely leaves you wanting to read more and I’m actually really loving reading an e-book too!

This was a solid sequel and it was highly addicting. I know this series is very problematic but I’m still trash for it.

After torturing myself by reading the first book, I really don't know what I expected from the second installment. I guess there is some personal growth between Tessa and Hardin, but alas, this is just more of the toxic back and forth that went on during the first.

This book does have Hardin's POV, which is a nice addition. I think that was lacking in the first book, as it is difficult to suffer through Tessa's constant whining and victim mentality. This installment allowed us to gain a deeper perspective on the conflict happening within Hardin's mind and the guilt and pain that he suffered as a result of his actions. Unfortunately, though, the guilt and shame Hardin feels are not enough to actually make him change any of his toxic behavior, tell any fragment of truth about anything, or have any personal growth, so once again, we find ourselves thrown back into the cycle of the breakup, have sex, make up over and over. This book made me dizzier than the first, and I feel I have become somewhat immune to the toxicity that carries on throughout, so I got through this book much faster, not having to take as many breaks to maintain my mental health.

The author does attempt to create some personal independence for Tessa by having her pursue her own dreams and distance herself from Hardin, but she is back swept up in Hardin's arms in a matter of days, which shows that she has not made any personal progress either.

I give this book a three-star rating because there was no growth between the MCs, yet I am still eating up this chaos and toxicity and have just purchased the next installment.

Such a trash book. Will I continue reading the series? Probably. Would I ever recommend to anyone? Absolutely not. I just read the same four chapters over and over again: Becca and Hardin are getting along, they have a misunderstanding, Hardin attacks someone and/or leaves, Becca says it’s over, Hardin begs forgiveness and the cycle starts all over again. And again. And again. And again.
