Well…Anna Todd continues to keep the world gripped with her After series.

Despite what you think of the book and series, I am DESPERATE to see the future and ending for this couple.

I continue to dislike this love / hate relationship for Tessa and Hardin, mostly because I don’t agree with Hardins attitude towards Tessa. However, more and more I begin to see Tessa’s side and think ‘WHY TESS? WHY?’ There’s a guilty part of me that does sorry for each individual in this, but also just wishes they would sort it all out. I feel like I’m at the point I just want them both to be happy!

In saying that I really love seeing the progress of each one; that Tessa and Hardin have both had influences on the other. In a way, I almost don’t want to carry on reading because I don’t want to see how their relationship has closure for us readers but I still want to see this relationship flourish!

Sadly this wasn't much better than the first. Harden is still a douchebag, Tessa still doesn't have a spine or some selfrespect. For some weird reason it's so addicting to listen to the audiobooks while getting angry over the story. I never got hate reading, but now I do so this book at least gave me that :')

I hate that I'm still reading this. It's toxic and abusive and I hate that it's presented as a love story and practically a guide for being abusive. I already know I'm going to read the next one and I wish I could stop.

For whatever reason, I love this serious so much. BUT Hardin is so toxic and this relationship is no where near healthy. That said, I don’t know if the point of this series is to empathize with his toxicity and his behavior, or to realize how easily it is to be manipulated or if it’s just a toxic romance novel where you’re shaking your head at half of the decisions but I feel all 3 of these scenarios.

It was a good story but I just kept getting annoyed with them

This was basically the same story as After. It followed the same format (get together/try again, then a misunderstanding or over-reaction spurs a fight, then a make-up/try again) that just continues the cycle. I consider this series like an accident I can't look away from. It's pretty abysmal but I can't stop reading it.

First read: 4/5
Reread: 2/5
