I'm glad, there are already so many cancer books. What about the other sicknesses and illnesses? If anyone knows any other books exploring other diseases, let me know:)

This is the only book I've read with a character who has my name (Keely), so it has a special place in my heart.

Sweet book with good message. Very easy read though, I read it in one day (however that is usually how long it takes me)!

Oh my gosh I just loved this story, I feel for Anya so hard and I read this two or three times. The first time I picked it up by chance and read it in a few hours and returned it, about a year late I got the urge to read it again but couldn't remember the title just the author (of course Ms. Margaret) and scoured the shelves until i found it and reread it again, a bit slower this time, enjoying the story of Anya and the humiliation of it all and the discovery of friendship and letting others help you.

It's amazing the books from your childhood you find on Goodreads when you go searching through your favorite authors. I probably read this in 4th or 5th grade and had completely forgotten about it until I read the description. I'm one of those people that is not content to NOT know every book I've ever read. My children/nieces & nephews will have very detailed reading journals/Goodreads accounts.

Interesting to learn about a strange disease and would provide for a good discussion about dealing with hard things.

It was a neat book about Alopecial Areata. If you have a student in you class with it or any thing that makes them "different" from their peers, it might be a good book to have the read.
