This was a very enjoyable read, the most hilarious part being the end of one of Julia's stories where she gets proposed to and that's the end of her career! I expected to be reading from Julia's point of view in the next story, but no, Mr Cheyney was serious, that was the end of Julia's spy career once she decided to marry her boss whom she had only had 4 conversations with.
Julia was such a funny, sharp and powerful woman, yet Mr Cheyney still had to have the underlying desire for women to drop their careers at the whiff of marriage. Quite hilarious in this sense because Julia would have been awfully bored if not on spy missions, but alas, it's an indicator of the time, which made the stories thoroughly enjoyable to read.
