Love this series! This is Dawson and Evie's story. Dawson has the reputation as a player, even if it's not totally true. He does love to tease and flirt, but everyone except Evie sees that it's different with her. Evie has been fighting her feelings for Dawson for 2 years, but all it takes is one truck ride back to the lodge to change her world. One kiss tilts both their words on their axis and now they will have to work their way through their new feelings and move past the baggage they both have and open up to each other. I love the banter, the drama, the passion, all the feels! I can't wait for the next book!!

I really enjoyed this story! It was a fun and entertaining read. I was able to connect with both characters pretty easily. Dawson and Evie have known each other for two years from working at Stolen Hearts Rescue/Retreat. They have interacted and teased each other over the course of this time and while both felt the attraction, never acted on it. Dawson has always come off as a flirt and a player, one with a good heart, but a player. Dawson has been in a funk lately as he occasionally deals with depression and he ends up in close quarters with Evie and kisses her. Once that happens, neither knows exactly what to do but they have a hard time staying away from each other. They both have baggage and they have to open up and share it in order to make things work. It's not easy and Dawson isn't sure. I loved getting to see these characters grow together and figure things out. This was a sweet story for me. The sex is fairly explicit and part of the story. I really enjoyed it and have really enjoyed this series so far. I am definitely looking forward to the next one.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

So, this book is okay, with one HUGE problem.

First, the good. I liked the female lead so much! She is genuine and understanding and so sweet and kind. The male lead was a bit frustrating, but I LOVED that he struggled with Depression and we got to see how he deals with it and how it effects his relationships.

Now, the bad. There is a scene in the book in which a mean girl (who the heroine knew from High School) verbally slams her in a local bar. The lead's best friend confronts the mean girl and says, "All you can do is sleep around. You’ve been doing it for so f***ing long all the guys know that’s all you’re good for!"

Ugh. Listen, confronting a female bully when she's awful to your friend is great. BUT slut-shaming her and saying men know she's only good for sex is NEVER OKAY. This is a major feminism fail. Not to mention, the male lead in this story has a reputation for sleeping around a lot and all of the other characters in this book are always saying things like "He just doesn't like to get serious. He's more into casual relationships."

I expect female authors to do better than this. You can't say that a man who sleeps around likes to "keep it casual" and then say that a woman who likes to sleep around "is only good for sex". It's gross and unacceptable.

I love this author, but THIS is incredibly disappointing.

This is book three in the Swoon series and it features Dawson and Eve. They’ve known each other for a couple years and he’s always been the consummate flirt/practical joker with everyone. Most say he flirts/jokes differently with her but she’s not so sure. He so good looking and sexy that he couldn’t possibly be interested in someone like her…right? These two are setting the sheets on FIRE! They both have issues but if he doesn’t learn to deal with his, he could lose her forever.

This is a sweet and hot romance with sexy cowboys and first responders. I can’t wait for the next book in this fantastic series!
