A retelling of the Pied Piper of Hamelin story, with time to look at the people in Hamelin and the piper himself. The protagonist is a woman who lost her hearing due to cruelties and has suffered more since then. She is the only one to lend a sympathetic ear to the piper and receive one back. A good tale, though it could be a tad longer with more time to explore things.
Moderate: Ableism

The art was fantastic. Honestly it's what kept me engaged. I got more from the art than the dialogue and other words. There were numerous spots where I felt I skipped something or I forget something. The story was short and the characters were flat and underdeveloped.

The ending was tragic, but it was a good fast-paced read. I had never actually read the pied Piper story so while this was a retelling it all seemed new to me.

The story was interesting and I loved that it is based on the vague historical mention of a common fairytale.
I found the story jumped a bit and didn’t have a clear way of showing that time was passing. I was also unconvinced by the relationship building.
