The story continues. Finally a glimpse on some story arc with the ruling lord or lady.
Still some entertaining fights and leveling. But i miss a reason to continue.

Best one yet. I'm munching through this series like popcorn.

Again, I can't put my finger on exactly why I didn't enjoy this book as well as the first, but despite creating new ideas and characters, it wasn't as compelling. Perhaps it is because John doesn't progress with his anger management as much as I would like. That all said, it will be difficult for me not to read the fourth book in this series when it comes out.

Favorite one so far!

Less anger, at least from John, more progression and world building. The big bad worked well and had an interesting solve. Some people I didn’t like ended up eating it which was... satisfying.

The ending almost made me mad but it came together so well, looking forward to the next book.
