Note:  I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Frisky Intentions is a grumpy/sunshine romcom that introduces Summer, our baker and owner of The Frisky Bean, and Jason, a Hollywood Agent working to represent some famous actors. Summer is hoping to find someone who can take her sass and fulfill her desires while Jason has not wanted a relationship until a beautiful woman keeps falling into his arms. He then has to undergo how to keep work separate from his personal life and how to accept he is deserving of love.

I really enjoyed Summer and her relationship with her friends. Jason was a little rough around the edges as I thought he tried too hard to impress Summer but he had the best character growth and I ended up loving him! I hope to see more of their story in the future!

Frisky Intentions
The Frisky Bean, Book 1
By: Michelle Mars
Narrated by: Emma Wilder, Joe Arden

I love Michelle Mars and her style of writing! This book is not only romantic, but the humor had me laughing out loud throughout the story all while feeling the deep emotional pull to my heart. Summer is co-owner of the Frisky Bean, a coffee shop and bakery. A creative baker, she creates delicious treats with her best friend. Quirky and fun, she has a smile on her face and when Jason comes in to place an order, there is an immediate attraction. Jason is an agent to the stars has popped in to grab some pastries for one of his clients and now he can't get her out of his mind. This instalove story grabbed me from the start. The naming of the treats had me laughing, the undeniable chemistry between Jason and Summer had me yearning and the conflict of Jason's feelings had me frustrated! All the things that create that feeling of I need to know how it all turns out!!! I also loved that Mars incorporated the relevance of getting therapy. So many shy away from this and for this story it truly proves how much it can help. This is a fabulous story and I can't wait to see what she has in store next.

And to enhance this story even more, Joe Arden and Emma Wilder bring it to life! There is nothing I can say about these two that has not already been said. Arden is fantastic as Jason, bringing out his feelings and also holding back! He is a master of emotions. Wilder comes in with all the quirks that make Summer. From her frustration at cooking to her love of baking, she has each perception down to a T. I loved their collaboration and enjoyed the narration.

This was definitely a cliche, cute romance novel. Perfect for a beach read or vacation because nothing really traumatic or scary happens (though I was waiting for the plot twist for 60% of the book).

I did think it could have used a bit more in the way of plot and even secondary character development. Every time something dramatic happened it was always smoothed over within a chapter or two and pretty much devoid of angst. Even at the “big” thing, it was fixed very quickly and easily.

That being said, I really did enjoy the light fluffiness and the capability of the main character, even though she was annoyingly clumsy (her only true character flaw). The love interest was *fine* because he was hot, but his character flaws were easily fixed with a few months of therapy? Definitely not real people, but a fun read all the same. Just don’t expect anything particularly dramatic or twisty.

Disclaimer: I received this book for free for my honest review.

Jason and summer are incredibly hot names for main characters, shame i didn't click with both at all. Anyway it's not bad, it's a cliché romance with all the sexy bits it's just not for me <3

Summer literally falls for Jason when he enters her cafe, the Frisky Bean, and he’s always ready to catch her.

Summer is sunshine, baking & co-owning her cafe with her forever best friend, Kevin. She’s playful & fun with a hidden inner sex goddess waiting to be unleashed.
Jason is a career-driven talent agent, with an upbringing that kept him from getting too close to anyone.
These 2 are adorable together, with their cute banter & innuendoes. They seem to be exactly what each other needs, whether they knew it or not!

LOVED Summer’s daily goddess cards (been looking to buy some since midway through the book hehe).

My only slight issue with this book was when it would flip from 1st to 3rd person randomly. It confused me and threw me off momentarily, but definitely didn’t ruin the book.

If you’re looking for a sweet & spicy romcom, definitely grab a copy of Frisky Intentions!

*Thank you to BookSirens & Michelle Mars for this ARC. All opinions are my own!

I received this book as an ARC from Booksirens for an honest review.

This book had me laughing out loud at Summer and Jason, which are the love interests in this story. This story was a feel good romantic comedy and I absolutely adored it!

The spice was also top notch and their banter was hot! If you're looking for a book that was make you smile throughout, this book is definitely for you. The next book is about Jess and Shane, which by their interaction in this book, I'm excited to read it.
