The best part of this volume was the fight between Touka and Gourmet. Many intense moments, such powerful moves, beautiful kagunes, it was really fun to visualise. Credit must be given to Nishi, man was he persistent about protecting his girl!! The first half of the volume was really good.

The rest of it though was filled with funky past stories of known characters or introducing strange new characters that are giving me a hard time categorising them as either a Ghoul or a Human.

But the one scene I'm curious about is when Rize bumps into Ken and they both cover one eye each, why was that..

4.5 I really loved all the fights in this volume. It's my favorite volume so far. (Mostly because of the fights and also because of the backstory on Rize.) The only thing it lacked was that it got boring for like 5 pages because of the ghoul envistagators discussing where to target next because it felt political.
