Grover (of Sesame Street) is terrified of the titular monster, and is determined to stop you from reaching the end of the story!

A hilarious and wonderful interactive classic picture book. A great choice for reading aloud to a little one or at storytime.

Greatest book ever! This book is the mantra for my life. If you just get through it, whatever the situation, one page at a time, by the end, the monster isn't that bad.

There's nothing quite like revisiting a childhood favorite. It is every bit as enjoyable as it was when I was a kid.

Let's just say I paid way more than I should of for a kids book to add this beloved book from my childhood to my kids bookshelf. That's how much I love it. Btw: my kids really love it too

By far the best children's picture book. Hands down.

Oh man, did I ever love this book when I was a kid. I can't wait until my baby is old enough to appreciate it too.

Read for Book Roast's Magical Readathon: NEWTs Exams. Subject: History of Magic, O Level. (Re-read a favorite)

This was not the book I initially chose for this prompt. The book I initially chose had many, many more words.

But we were getting down to the wire, people. Decisions had to be made. And I regret nothing.

This is, genuinely, one of my all-time favorite childhood books. I have no recollection of being read to as a child, though this doesn't mean I wasn't ever. But I distinctly remember reading this to myself, and laughing as Grover screamed with every page turn. It's so easy to hear his iconic voice on each page.

Needless to say, this book is AMAZING to read aloud to children. The next closest thing to being this much fun is [b:Bunnies!!!|22236651|Bunnies!!!|Kevan Atteberry|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1408311766l/22236651._SX50_.jpg|41606563]. Both of these books, I can hear vividly in my head when I think of them.

All books for children should be this much fun to read.

Probably not right before bed, though. At least, not by me, the giant walking cartoon character.
