I read this book growing up and it was sentimental to revisit it again! The pastel illustrations still enchant me and make me smile.

What can I say, I am a Little House junkie. I just love it all and this book, with its lovely illustrations and Christmas theme is such a cozy read.

What I found most interesting is what people did back then for fun. It seems like it would still be fun today!
What I found most odd is they only showed what Laura got as a present. Or, I should say, as an extra present. Was she the only one who did? That seems.... mean.

The illustrations are lovely and are definitely inspired by the originals by Garth Williams. The writing, though, is overly simplified and doesn’t seem like a complete story.

I have always loved this series and this was the first book I ever had from that series. It is beautifully illustrated with an easy to read speed. It really makes me want to read the series again.
