Definitely better than the first book.

Still a bit dissapointing. And a lot confusing. I did not like how the names Lelandi and Larissa was used interchangeable. That plot device did not work for me. Sure, it's a case of identity theft/ mistaken identity, but it just got so confusing I contemplated giving up on the book.

I will probably not continue this series as I find the writing a bit boring and the books too long with such little substance.

This was the first romance book I read in a long time that wasn’t on A03 and it was my first Terry Spear book. It was such a good read! I was so happy to have found it at my local bookstore and so glad to find something that can help re-kick my deep love of reading

I just couldn’t love this book. It’s definitely not a bad book. I enjoyed getting to know the pack so well and their personalities. I liked the characters overall and the writing was good.

Specific things I didn’t like:
The fact that the dead twin gave her sisters name and you don’t find out until 80 pages in. Before finding this out you will seriously think the author/editors really messed this book up. Sentences don’t even make sense because their names are switched. It reads like a dead person you know is dead is talking and doing things. As the book goes on, there’s no true driving need for all that confusion. The author could have gotten across the twins fear and need to hide without it. Or at least let us in on the secret earlier as the reader.

The heroine seems like she’s going to be super bad ass but it never really happens. She comes to avenge her sisters death and beats up a group of mean females harassing her in town. I loved her then. However after that she was lame. Especially how she was so enraged at Dorian after he accuses her of plotting to be his mate...then mates him two seconds later. She’s SO angry then all he does is kiss her and she has no backbone.

The author spent a ton of time, like 100 pages describing the heroine in the hospital recovering from her injuries. I felt like I was in an endless loop of her passing out, waking up, being interrogated, hurting herself by trying to get up, passing out...repeat until I wanted to bang my head against a wall.

Also, someone with the ebook version of this will you PLEASE tell me how many times lupus garou is written??? I mean it’s like every page. I couldn’t remember how to spell it correctly and just randomly opened the book and there it was. It got so annoying after awhile.

Final thing I didn’t like which sometimes I don’t mind but here I did - spending so much time in heroines dreams mating the hero. So many dreams and all I wanted was some real life action between the two but instead I had to read about her passing out at the hospital for hours 🙄

This was an ok book, I like how it had the whole pack involved. I dind't like how Lelandi was the twin and was falling in love with her sisters mate but in a way it turns out ok. I would really like to read more about the rest pack because at the end Terry Spear leaves you wanting to know what happens like will Jack ever fall in love or will Carol ever be able to get use to being a werewolf.

Destiny of the Wolf - 3.5
Day of the Wolf - 3

If you know me, you know I am a sucker for a shifter romance and I always need more in my life. I found this book when I was Boxing Day shopping and I really enjoyed it. Also fated mate story which is my all time favourite trope.

Fleeing from her red werewolf pack, Lelandi Wildhaven arrives in Silver Town to find out what happened to her sister. But some of the Silver Wolves don’t believe her or her motives–instead insisting she’s there to make a bid for the gray alpha leader, Darien Silver’s heart–and they’ll do whatever it takes to protect their home.

I’m interested to see if we get to learn more about the difference between the red and gray wolf packs and the friction between them. I also hope we get a between understand of the wolves life span because there is an almost throw away comment that Lelandi is glad that she no longer needs to wear corsets and bustle skirts. It really through me out the story as it’s the only time the longevity of their life was mentioned.

Darien is your typical broody alpha who is a sweetheart to Lelandi. He was a touch too over protective and determined to have Lelandi sit of the action which did annoy me a little. Lelandi is a strong female lead but she is full aware of her weaknesses and not afraid of her femininity.

We also get a novella, Day of the Wolf which was a lot of fun. The romance was pretty intsa love. Both the hero and heroine are both ex military which I think fits in a lot with some of Terry Spear’s other series.
