Has a lot of fun moments, but I also found it hard to follow along with what's going on. This series seems to require a lot of homework (aka reading several volumes of different character arcs).

2.5 stars. Great art, good tone, but clunky dialogue, and confusing, unresolved actions by our main characters. Why’s Steph hiding her phone from Cass? Who’s the serial killer? Why are the neighbors’ portraits on Spellbinder’s wall? How can Barbara go from a wheelchair, to complaining about her back, to riding a motorcycle? High potential, but ultimately frustrating.

It’s a comic about three of my favorite Bat-Family characters with one of my favorite c list villains. I can’t ask for more.
I think it really gets the Batgirls and they all get their moments to shine. Cass in particular feels really right here.

I initially picked this up as a way to see more of Barbara Gordon in a different iteration of her character. As someone who has recently gotten back into comics again, this volume was batty with action, mystery, and a dash of bonding between Babs, Cass, and Steph.
I haven't read a lot of Batwoman, Batman, or any DC comics in general to comment on the continuity or the substance of the storyline, but it definitely kept my attention. The art was bright, loud, and gave off slightly futuristic vibes because of the technology used.
I would have liked to see more moments between Cass and Steph, but I can see how that took a backseat to the action. They worked well together as characters and as a team of Batgirls regardless.
Overall, if you like high action, fun, gripping storylines and like Batwoman and the other characters in Batman, I would recommend giving this a shot.

Really fun art that fits with the age and personality of Cass and Steph, but I didn't find the plot engaging at all, and the number of antagonists (there are 5!!!) spread the story too thin for me.
