I have a feeling this will be something I can enjoy rereading many times in the future, and I cannot wait to do so! It reminded me of my childhood, in which I grew up on Goosebumps and Mary Downing Hahn, and this was the adult version of that, and I absolutely loved it.

(3.5 stars) This is a super fun, quick holiday read. I really enjoyed it!! I’d recommend this to anyone who likes (on the verge of cheesy) horror.

3.5 stars! Honestly a cute little spooky read. It kept me engaged and it’s only 200 pages. Had a good plot and great ending so I’m satisfied

This was a super fun read. Wasn’t super scary but I appreciated the humor. I’m just not sure how I feel about the epilogue.

Actual rating 3.5! I went into this book totally blind and found it to be a fun, supernatural romp. It is a very slow burn with the paranormal elements only really revealing themselves at the end, but still a good book to pass the time with.

Lucy is an editor who begins work at a prestigious publishing house, only to have strange goings on and accidents plaguing her work.

Lucy herself is a fun character. She works hard and has a great attitude, which makes her woefully outmatched for her eccentric coworkers. The side characters are definitely memorable, none more than my personal favourite, Fabian.

As said earlier, the plot is a slow burn, which wasn’t expected given how short the book is. I wish there had been more scares and creepiness, but the book did have fun with its premise.

The prose and voice were funny, and I did find myself chuckling quite a bit. It was also a fun inside look into the publishing side of the industry, so my writer’s heart enjoyed that element,

Though I think it could have been more, I did enjoy SECRET SANTA and think it’s a fun, quick book for anyone who loves horror and books in general.
