Finally, the great reading slump of 2012 has ended! Sometimes a book by an author you've never heard of, that doesn't have a million reviews, is better than all the ones that you are "supposed to" like. Cheers to Linda Yellin, your book made me smile and laugh. I'm so glad I picked it up.

This book completely took me by surprise. It's a true story of a second chance at love and scary, but hopeful new beginnings when the author moved to NYC with her new husband. I only started it as a "filler" book because I hadn't picked up a new novel at the library yet. I didn't imagine I would actually read the whole thing, but Linda Yellin is so endearingly honest and funny that soon I couldn't wait to read more.
