(I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review).

After years of abuse, Mallory Thompson turns to new friend and bartender, Lucas Carson. The one place Mallory's husband cannot find her and a place that may heal her heart and soul is Wild Rose Farm & Stable. Lucas himself has runaway from the sleepy town but his brother and sister, along with their father and longtime housekeeper/cook, have continued to make it their home.

Keith lost his wife and child years ago and has given up his job as a Vet. He is just living day to day. When city girl Mallory moves in she unnerves everything in Keith and makes him want to live again and for Mallory Keith opens up her trust and heart.

After reading the summary of Kentucky Home it sounded just like my type of contemporary romance, unfortunately, I did not like this novel much. The first few chapters read like a story outline and loses the personal aspect. I did finish it so it was not awful but I also kept trying because it was a NetGalley review. While you do root for Mallory and Keith it does at times seem unrealistic. There are good secondary characters that I hope do have their own book.

Typical chick lit - a bit vapid, and pretty much nothing unexpected. It's a fine read - not earthshattering or world changing, but enjoyable.

Parts are well written, but most of it feels rushed.
