This isn't the usual type of book from L.J.Shen as it is a bit more emotional than her previous books but I absolutely loved it.
Everlynne drove me nuts and I felt like shaking her at times with her doubts and worries. But as I read on I was actually very empathetic towards her.
The Dom situation I did NOT see coming and had to take a moment to gather myself. WTH..

This book is so full of emotion, and love, and hope. I loved reading Ever and Joe’s story and seeing how hard they fought for each other. The plot twist was way out of left field, but it was really good for the story and helped to further their story and longing. I think what I loved about this book so much is how it is relatable and tells you to have hope when everything seems against you. It’s a beautifully written story and I love it so much.

I'm being generous with 2 stars. 
This book was like a bad soap opera with whining and drama and gas lighting and manipulation amd just ugh! All of the characters were unlikeable and the relationship we are SUPPOSED to care about was so stupid and ridiculous that I just could not care less. By the end I just wanted to to be over. Speaking of ... the ending ... was anticlimactic. It hurt me to read it.

Ever & Joe were so damn stubborn throughout this whole book! But I could not stop, I was too invested.

It started out good but it was just eh. It felt very rushed, and have like no time to connect to the characters. And it was also pretty predictable very early on
