Intriguing world-building and diverse. Plot was a bit all over the place, but kept me entertained. Kinda disappointed where the hot mess of a captain's arc went because I thought her affection towards Serapio kinda came out of nowhere and seemed to be just from him being mysterious and attractive. You knew him for like, barely over a week, girl. I'm completely here for scarred reborn gods though and I hope Okoa has a bigger role. I also hope Nara's part in the story starts making some more sense.

If this wasn't a first in a series, I would give this so much less, because that end was some shit.

A unique and creative read! The story is told out of order, so you’re connecting quite a few dots as you go along.  Definitely a book that deserves a reread to notice more details
