It's like giving yourself a lifetime of reading when you've already got a lifetime worth of reading to get through. Once again, Economists are silly. I'll get less emotional about it, I swear.

My God, such a disastrous book. There is no reading flow, text passages all over the page, pictures with captions that interrupt your paragraph way too often, and captions that are in almost the same font as the main text, resulting in some page changes where instead of continuing with the rest of the phrase, you read the caption of some image, because it's placed exactly at the beginning of the next page (and the fonts are just too similar). An awful reading experience, I just couldn't enjoy any information provided because of the poor layout. If you want to buy it, try to read a few pages from a sample or something and see if you can do it and you don't feel angry after a few pages.

Como os outros livros da coleção, é uma leitura enriquecedora. Com uma explicação simples, imagens e quadros a acompanhando, economia não parece ser um tema tão chato e complicado como antes parecia, para mim. Embora a leitura seja lenta, a informação e o conhecimento adquiridos são muito valorosos, e a lentidão não é uma característica ruim; como dito em outras resenhas dessa coleção, alguns livros são feitos para ser lidos devagar.
A forma como o livro navega pela a história, trazendo as diferenças doutrinas e pensamentos que dominaram os anos, é muito interessante, dando um ótimo panorama de tudo. Por exemplo, entendemos como a Segunda Guerra Mundial afetou a economia e então temos as teorias econômicas pós-guerra, algumas inclusive que refutam anteriores. A pesquisa, então, além da escolha de profissionais, parece ter sido bem feita, embora eu não tenha como garantir, já que não sou conhecedor do assunto.
É um livro muito bom para qualquer interessado no assunto ou para alguém que talvez ache que se interessaria pelo o assunto, mas não sabe de nada. O projeto gráfico e a organização dos conteúdos também são sempre bons, o que é interessante comentar, por fim.

This was a great experience for me because there's a lot of topics explained in the simplest way possible, this makes it easy for people that aren't familiar with some "advanced" concepts. Also, the presentation is excellent, the usage of a lot of diagrams and colors makes it catch your attention. I'd probably come back to it if necessary.

Easy to read introduction to economic theories past and present. Helps to make sense of things you hear in the news when you've never taken an economics class.
