Strange Times is a fun and quick read directed at a young teen audience. At times the writing suffers, and can even be confusing or redundant, but the overall story is entertaining and worth a read. The premise is simple – a group of middle school boys form a Scooby-doo-esque crew – and there is just enough charm and heart to leave the reader excited about what adventure they will have next as the book comes to a conclusion.
