I flew through this book which was honestly a feat since I’ve been struggling to read with my eyeballs recently. Sarah writes some of my fave omegaverse books because they are spicy AND have substance. I liked the premise of this one and that Luna really wanted to be an independent girlie-pop. I enjoyed getting three different male characters and seeing how their relationships changed over the course of the book. I will say that only Ian felt fully fleshed out for me and that most of the focus in the group was on Ian and Luna. I loved Ezra and James and always found myself wanting a little more from them. That said, it’s a short book so I recognize something had to give!

Disclaimer: I am a HUGE Sarah Blue stan and adore omegaverse. However the Stepbrother trope/kink is not my favorite, which I knew going into this, so it’s my own fault lol

DESPITE the whole stepbrother ick I have, this read was pretty average for me. I didn’t feel super connected to the characters and felt a lack of character development with Luna. Just want a slam dunk for me.

WHAT I LOVED was seeing an omega who really didn’t need alphas. James was so non-traditional and it was interesting to see that dynamic! This book was also HOT 🥵 Like, this felt more spicy that some of Sarah’s other works. So if you need some Cliterature or Flick Bait, this is it.

Might read the next novella? Not running to it, but WILL continue to love my girl Sarah Blue.

This is so just not good. The “smut” is bad, the timeline is bad, the dialogue is cheesy, the characters are flat, there is no angst and nothing is earned. Honestly, it second star comes from the fact that it’s a short book.

I wanted a "no thoughts just vibes" type of read, and for the most part, that's exactly what Lavender Moon was. At times the whole step-sibling thing got a bit heavy-handed, but I generally liked the way that was handled. I appreciated seeing how Luna fit in with the pre-existing pack and their dynamic, and how they all made each other's relationships stronger and more balanced.
