Good story! I enjoyed the layers of the relationship, from wealth disparity to human/nonhuman relations. A bit excessive, in my opinion, layering Dominant, alpha, paranormal, and billionaire on top of one another, but it worked okay.

I'm not sure what to make of this book. It's short, but there's a lot going on. It had a lot of promise and I'm not sure if it was my frustration with the narrator or the stilted/annoying dialogue that tanked this story for me. The narrator had a terrible habit of covering her mouth or pulling far away from the microphone when the H/h were having thoughts or internal dialogue. It was annoying and hard to hear. I was not a fan the voices she used for the male characters.

I think the book was a little too short for me. It had a lot of potential and would have been better with more detail and interaction between the main characters. I did not know what to do with them. Mia was not submissive and questioned Dominic's behavior and statements. The book really did not address how that would be negotiated by the two of them. Just when I thought it would be, a bad guy comes a long and changes the story.

Bleh. Like I said, all kinds of potential, but the story got lost along the way.

DNF. Lame shifter world. Stilted actions and conversations. Dominic was an asshat and Mia was TSTL.
