This non-fiction book gives an in-depth view of two families that bring their food to a farmer’s market to sell. It focuses on the intergenerational aspect of the work. The Thaos are a Hmong family that has recently immigrated and the Kornder family has ancestors that came from Europe in the late 1800s. There is some history shared, but the main focus is on the skills that each family has brought from their culture and how their hard work is contributing to the diversity of the farmer’s market. The pictures are clear, colorful, and add helpful details to the text.
