In Spanish or English , Esperanza renace (Esperanza Rising) is a tremendous and nuanced read. It’s middle-grade, historical fiction that I would recommend to kids and adults alike.

A Mexican girl whose life got turned upside down when she was forced to move to from her family home to California (a historical work that takes place during the Great Depression). Definitely a good story to learn something new about the history of the US.
