In this issue, Overboss Dixon demands that Culloden bring Deadpool in to brief him on the Mithras Directive, even though Culloden says he isn't ready. Later, we find out that there is an alien life form coming to earth that will change the course of history and that Deadpool is an integral part of its journey because he is the Mithras (the ancient deity known as 'the light before the sun'). Monty "looks forward" (which is a very big risk for him to take) and tells Deadpool that three events will soon happen to him. If these things do happen, Deadpool may finally believe that he is their Mithras.

Meanwhile, there is still something weird going on between Al and Deadpool, but toward the end of the issue, they take steps toward bringing things back to normal. Deadpool is saying that Al can consider herself "a free..." but before he finishes that sentence, his teleport switches on and he didn't do it.

Also in this issue, Ajax has moved on from the Hellhouse and goes to find Killbrew (his creator) in the Swiss Alps.
