Good story overall, and some decent twists. Characters a little superficial at times- Lukas was introduced way too late, and then became a pivotal character. Bernard changed depending on the scene, needed a more consistent personality. Everyone seemed to love Juliette even though she wasn't very loveable. But some very exciting bits, and the killing off of seemingly important characters near the start heighten the jeopardy when needed.

Review: The Silo Series (Wool, Shift, and Dust)
✨: 5/5
Genre: dystopia
1️⃣ emoji: 🛕
Format: audiobook
Catastrophe overtook the earth hundreds of years ago, and now all that’s left of humanity is living in an underground silo, a self-sustainable bunker created by unknown predecessors. The world outside is a desert with poisonous air, and even saying out loud “I want to go outside” is treason punishable by death. The story starts with the sheriff of the silo digging into his wife’s research before she abandoned the silo. Is the world outside really as dangerous as everyone says? Or is it all a conspiracy to keep them trapped in the silo?
➕: Was very hard to put down!! I love a good dystopia, and this one has all the elements of one. Overall thoroughly enjoyed the entire series. It also is a series that premiered last year on Apple TV.
➖: The second book is almost more of a prequel- digs into how the silo was built. This initially was a bit of a let down because the first book ended on a semi-cliffhanger that I was eager to get back to. I wouldn’t change it now, because the prequel parts gave so much more context that was important in the third book.
I also felt like I could have used even one more book- I wanted to keep seeing where their adventure went!
