i have to admit it took me a while to get into this book, it wasnt until around halfway through that i started to connect and really enjoy the story and the characters, i feel like if i read this a year ago it would have completely changed my perspective on my art course, most of the time i felt like the writing was /so/ heavily metaphorical that it kind of lost touch with the story, but i realised the imagery helped with the characterisation and development of key points. I loved the art aspect of the story and the complete evangelical zeal when creating art, whether in the mind or in life.

It’s funny how you think that you have a favorite book and nothing can beat it and then something comes completely out of left field and rocks your world. I’ll Give You The Sun is the best book since I’ve read Aristotle and Dante. This contemporary story is a must read it’s so powerful and overflowing with emotions. All the connections, and character quirks are just beautiful. This book had be screaming, crying, screaming and laughing in my car as I listened to the audiobook.

Jude and Noah have a special place in my heart now. This book was so unpredictable and that's amazing seeing that it talked in events from the past and the future and you didn’t understand anything until the author wrote it. I want to reread, and reread and reread this book.
I don’t want to get into spoilers but someone, anyone who has read this book and just wants to send quotes and scream, hit me up fam. Honestly where is all my fanfiction and fanart.

The characters are all so fully developed and beautiful. No one is fully good or fully bad and literally everyone has given their fair share to the plot of the novel and it just makes me swell with joy seeing these imperfect little artists. You can go from thinking this person is perfect to realizing they are quite the opposite to placing them somewhere in the middle through the perspective of Jude and Noah. This story is so much bigger than them while revolving around them.

I guarantee that you will leave this book feeling w r e c k e d but also inspired.

“This is what I want: I want to grab my brother’s hand and run back through time, losing years like coats falling from our shoulders.”

Jude. oh my god, Jude. I love her haunted, beautiful soul. I would like to give her an orange tree.

Oh, so good! AHH! So my kind of book! I'm overflowing with feels and joy and I wish I could've read this when I wasn't so busy and full of school. RTC when I'm not sleep-deprived, I hope.

6 STARS IF I COULD ⭐️
This book was like a warm hug, I felt the need to go get in touch with an distant relative and see how they were.
I welled up, I laughed… I loved the artistic pieces of this book and felt like I could relate as I love painting too

"We were keeping each other company when we didn’t have any eyes or hands. Before our soul even got delivered".

What a beautiful novel about family, love, friendship, pain and grief. This novel centres around a pair of twins - Jude and Noah, going back and forth between their pre-teens and then adolescence. But it reads as an adult novel, considering the depth of the writing style and the themes in here.
