THIS WAS SO AWESOME!!!
This was the perfect 10th anniversary present for Torchwood fans. Big Finish once again delivered something brilliant that encapsulates the best of Torchwood.
This is the first time since the show ended that we've had a new story with Jack, Ianto and Gwen, and boy was it great to have those three back and kicking alien butt once more! The characterisation was - as always - perfect, and let's be real, I consider these to be more canon than any of the old novels. The story was brilliant - simple enough to follow on an audio but with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing, and back in our favourite place: Cardiff. It felt a bit like 'What Miracle Day could have been'. It had the big issue thing going on without any of the other terrible things that happened in Miracle Day.
Cardiff has been hit by a virus that makes you hunt down and kill the people you love before killing yourself. Can you see anyway that this might lead to very emotional scenes? To ruining every fan's poor, already vulnerable heart?

The writers deliberately made us relive some of the most heartbreaking moments, by either referring to them or quoting them, namely:
- Listening to The Ballad of Ianto Jones
- The 'I love you' scene from The House of the Dead
- Children of Earth, Day 4 (which I'm still in complete denial about)
Surprise surprise, this made the Janto even more painful and even more emotional and even more shippy! Yaaaay!
There were also some absolutely hilarious moments, particularly on the first disc between Ianto and Gwen. Their relationship wasn't really explored on the show, so it was nice to see them interact a bit more. We also had a surprise visit from one of Jack's many exes, which always livens things up!
All in all, a fantastic addition to the Torchwood canon. If you need more Torchwood (and who doesn't?) then make sure to listen to this!
