It was a good read
but it was too short! has a lot of potential I think. I really loved how Dale desired her the whole time.

Surprise!
Loved it, but the second half seemed a bit rushed and thrown together. Not to mention there is almost no warning of book changing or how long has passed between the first story and the second on.

2.5 stars. While not really original, this was actually a pretty fun book. I just wish it had been better executed. It always makes me cringe when the characters say things that are unfounded, way too soon and extremely gag-worthy. Not to mention when the plot is really only a reason to write a book in which characters have sex. This world could be interesting if it were actually developed.

I usually don't like short stories but this one's different. Dale is so hot you can't help but feel the need to read this book to the very end and I quite enjoyed the story itself. It wasn't too detailed and it was full of action. Of course all the hot sex made everything g even better and I really enjoyed the relationship between Beth and Dale.

First book in the Mating series finds Beth returning home from college after living for several years as a “Skin,” a human instead of the shifter she is. Beth doesn't fit into pack life at the Mitchell ranch. Because she's forgotten how to shift into a wolf, the pack alpha has ordered her to choose a mate or leave. The only male Beth desires is Dale, a fiercely protective Lupine who loathes the human lifestyle she embraces. She hungers for the handsome shifter's touch, but fears their differences are too vast to overcome.
The Good

-Decent setup with a different mythology (wolves, ogres, trolls, etc.)

-quick and easy read

-angst-ridden heroine about her weight became a bit tiresome in a very short amount of time
-abrupt end

For a free novella, it wasn’t bad. I’d read the rest of the series...after I tackle my huge TBR pile.
