Short Novella, I think anyone who has a conversation with a hot guy an immediately says how much she makes a year should be laughed off the page. I mean WTF. Book had good merits and intrigue but I didn't truly enjoy the choppy conversations. The guy she went up there with was a complete ass, and I'm not sure when she chose to go with Flint so she could make her plane that she was a psycho. WHO DOES THAT?

need to be slowed down

It was alright. It was rushed in so many parts. I would have loved to see the story slowed down to get a better feel of the couple.

I really loved this book. My only complaint is that it's a novella and not a full book.
I would have loved to hear more about the two main characters and I would have loved to hear more of Flint's side of things.
I feel like this would have been the great start to a series about this couple and their lives together.

I loved it but it is leaving me wanting more. I searched through Smith's other books and didn't find anything that continued this story line. I would love to hear more about this couple.

Pretty decent for a short story. I really wish it was an entire novel!

Told in the first person, Jessica Tandy is on the vacation from hell with a boyfriend she needs to dump. When a pit stop at bar in the middle of Alaska leaves her stranded, she meets a man who she finds herself comfortable with.

Flint Ravenclaw notices Jessica the moment she enters the room, seeing that the company she keeps have no regard to her distress he quickly stands up to save her. Offering to drive her to her destination a night ensues with unpredictable results, will he get a chance to explain before Jessica runs off?

Overall the story was a very creative idea, but the quickness of the read left quite a bit out that would have made the story stronger. I liked this book but would have liked to connect with the characters more.

It was not bad. Some really good parts, enjoyed Flint, some hot steamy scenes...intriguing Lokoti werewolf thing. I just felt like it lost it's purpose after the half way mark, and I was left a little bit wanting with the ending (wasn't sure why I was still reading it). *shrugs*

The entire novel is choppy and the sex scenes come across as juvenille.

The premise for this book was actually quite intriguing but from moment one it's clear that this is not going to be a great book. Not that the plot is bad (although frankly, getting the heroine from Washington back to Alaska is actually accomplished much too easily for such a self-proclaimed "city girl") but the writing itself is bad, not completely but it is particularly noticeable with the dialogue. All of the characters seem younger and less worldly than they are, given the almost naive way they speak; disappointing.
