it felt like a myth very slow and supple. tonight i know i will dream of gushing water and transparent membranes. 

i loved the concept but i didn't feel like i knew the characters. the narration of their backstories told rather than showed their personalities. i think this story would have benefited from a more literary style to really bring out the strangeness and make the reader feel like they're sinking into the book

i wouldn't say it's a horror novel there was something too peaceful to it

i had completely forgotten to focus on the fact that this is not only a horror/sci fi novel but also a love story.
