This serie starts amazing but I don't even know what to say about the last book. meh!
Overall this series was enjoyable and the story was very interesting, but there are a few issues. I wish this book were longer, because there's so much about this world that could have used more detail. I wish there were more explorations of certain relationships and resolution of past things (the fallen). Mostly, and maybe I'm just old, but I wish we would stop pairing 17 year olds with like millennia-old immortals?? And at the very least stop bringing it up so often??? Yikes.
I waited almost two years for this book, and today I read it in a few hours. All I can say is that it was worth the wait, and everybody should read these books!
I have to say I was a bit scared when I started reading this book. I read a few reviews of other Goodreaders that weren't satisfied with the end of the series. I had this dreadful feeling that it had somehow a Divergent-ending, so I stalled reading this book for a week (I'm also reading a lot of books as research for my graduation project at the moment, so it wasn't that difficult to stall it). But somehow the book kept calling "Jeeeeessss, Jeeeeeeesssss, please keep reading me, Jess!" So eventually I picked it up again and finished the book. Through the whole series I really hoped for a happy ending. I'm a real sucker for happy ending and I hate it when a story ends with something not at all happy... Yes, Roth, I'm talking to you right now... But I was pleasantly surprised about the ending Susan Ee wrote for the series! I'm so happy Penryn and Raffe are together. This was something I hoped for since the appearance of Raffe in Angelfall. I loved the pace of the story, the plot twists in it, and I actually love Raffe more with his demon wings than his angel wings (I'm more of a Bad Boy with a heart of Gold type). I am really pleased with the whole series and it is definitely going on my favs list! Keep on the good work, Susan!
OH HOLY SHIT
okay so i was thinking of giving 4 stars only because it's a little rushed? buT YAY FOR HAPPY ENDING.
i am honestly so relieved i could cry out of happiness. raffe and penryn got together, and i just kept on screaming yAASS YASS YASS

I read this book in four hours. That's right; I skipped dinner in order to finish this trilogy I so eagerly waited since last year! There were funny moments, heart-breaking ones and some spicy swoon-worthy!
Penryn, Raffe and Paige fly away from the battle they left behind them and nothing could be worse since Uriel rallies himself as the Messenger and Raffe must stich back his wings of he wants to lead his people. So we get the following questions: will Penryn and Raffe stay together? Will Beliel be punished? And why Dee and Dum have created a talent show?
Susan writting is quick, quite descriptive and you feel the words passing through you and all the time you scream NONONONO! because in the end you don't want their adventures to end. Some nice characters are also added (I am not going to spoil) who give a nice twist to the story.
In the end it was worth my lost sleeping hours. I enjoyed the last book and I hope with all my heart that Susan will write more and more and more!
