Poetry is a very subjective thing, perhaps even more so than prose. What works for someone, and evokes certain emotions, may not have the same effect on another. As such, I have to admit to being stuck on this review. I liked the poetry, sure, though I am not entirely sure how to articulate that liking, but nothing about it really stuck out for me. You know how your favourite poets always find words that make you go 'oh' on reading them? That never happened for me here. So, ultimately, the poetry was good, but it just wasn't great.
