This book is so fun and fresh. It felt like I was there with the band on stage and in studio. It gave me such Fleetwood Mac vibes, the rivalry, the fall out and the relationships. However, about half way through I felt like there was something missing and when I finished it, I felt.. unfulfilled. I give this a 7.5/10.
Pros:
• This book reads like a script, so you get everyone‘s dialogue on the events of what happened.
• It’s a very quick read, easy to get through.
• The characters are likeable.
• It’s also being turned into a mini series!
Cons:
• Not much happens? I feel that there could have been more added to the story.
• Predictable romance trope.
• The fake song lyrics in the back of the book aren’t needed.
• Would be better to listen to as an audiobook rather than read as a physical book.

Halfway through this and I’m just gonna say it—
•If you admired the film “Almost Famous”, or have a genuine appreciation for the decade “sex drugs & rock n’ roll”, just do it.
•I HIGHLY suggest listening to this on audible. (Something I rarely I voice in preference versus the old school way.) However, I find myself forgetting it’s a book, and rather that I’m listening to a podcast of legends speaking their truths on the road to fame.
•The narrative by multiple voices is so real, and match each character in a definitive way that’s hard to grasp reading on a page. The audible version brings the literature to the NEXT LEVEL!

I always love Taylor Jenkins Reid books and this one did not disappoint! I wanted to read the book before watching the series that Amazon came out with!

One of the first books I read that got me into reading. I like that it it was in the form of interviews and therefore pretty quick. I used to hateeee reading and get bored and lose focus so this was the perfect book to get me into reading. def glad I read before watching the show bc I love the show and reading it first made me love the show more

i honestly don’t know. like first of all the writing style was so fun, it was different. i could clearly picture what was happening and you’re able to absorb it in such a simple but effective way.
daisy jones & the six has many highs and many lows. it’s cool to see a different spin on learning about a rock band from the 70s.
i thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.

I kind of found this empty expecting something next to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. It was still a worthwhile read, though. It definitely picked me up from my 4-month reading slump. I just wish I got something larger from it outside of the texts I highlighted. I still very much like the writing style of Taylor Jenkins Reid.
