Tom King does a good job with his final issue or two, Tim Seeley still pales in comparison, and then that creative team that's been in charge of this story since its inception suddenly hands the reins off to a couple of unknowns? I don't know who wrote the last few issues of this series (it says Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly tho), but it didn't make any sense to me for them to step in and finish off these various story threads after King and Seeley. The very last issue, "Who is Agent 37," is a fun little issue where we get to see Harley Quinn, John Constantine, and a couple of less interesting, less bisexual characters, sit in a room and take turns telling stories of a memorable experience with Dick while he was a Spyral agent.

Apparently this transitions right into DC Rebirth, cuz they include the whole first damn issue of it in this TPB.

honestly i can’t believe a dude without superpowers has been through this much trauma and pain and survived.

or that he could be both well known and forgotten. i don’t think that’s how spies are supposed to work… as a spy he sure does share his personal information…

the erase-your-memory-hypnos are a pretty convenient tool.

A fair wrap-up of Dick Grayson in the Spyral world with a decent introduction to where he is headed next in Nightwing Rebirth. But, being new to the DC Comics universe and characters, I really suffered in reading this saga. Lots of cameos with characters I knew (because how can you live and not know who Batman is?!) but also cameos from many with which I was not at all familiar. I enjoyed it without the foundation but I definitely think, if you have a background in DC characters and storylines, more enjoyment can be gained from reading this five volume saga.

It was a satisfactory end, albeit convoluted. Still, I enjoyed this volume for the most part. Onward to NIGHTWING: REBIRTH!

Got kind of convoluted but I really enjoyed that last issue of the group recounting their run-ins with Agent 37

Although this comic series can be confusing at times because there are so many spin-off issues to read I still loved it! Dick Grayson is the best! His character arc and development as a spy was beautiful. He will always be Robin, Nightwing, and most importantly Grayson! His relationship with the other Batfam is so sweet because they are a family.

The best part of this series was saying that the only woman Dick loved was Barbara.
