Little People, Big Dreams. Elvis Presley. Tekst: Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara. Illustraties: Ana Albero.

'Elvis Presley' by Maria Sanchez Vegara with art by Ana Albero is a biography for young readers in the Little People, Big Dreams series.

Elvis Presley was born in North Mississippi and saw that there were unfair rules for people based on skin color. When he was 13, he moved to Memphis and he listened to music made by whites and blacks and mixed it in to his own sound.

It's a well known story to me, so I know it's told well here for younger readers. The illustration style is unique and colorful.

I’ve always loved the Little People, Big Dreams series but this is the first one I have a print copy of. It’s so well made. Hardcover with some felt at the side and the pages are really thick with beautiful colored illustrations. The book is a quick overview at Elvis Presley’s life at a good length for young children.

I read with my service dog before bed,

He is a huge Elvis fan since a pup was the only music that could be played. He Loved the book, and plan to add it it his physical shelf he is building. His mommy gonna buy it for him.

I loved this wonderful picture book about the life of Elvis! I learnt a lot from this small book and having seen the new Elvis biopic I think this would be a brilliant companion book to share with young children, about Elvis’ life from young boy, to the King of Rock’n’roll. I enjoyed the simple artwork that accompanied his story and highly recommend it!
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Frances Lincoln Children’s Books for my digital copy via the NetGalley app.

I love the little people big dreams series. I am from Memphis, and it's always nice to see your city represented in books, even when it's with the popular Elvis. These are all great for children and adults alike.

Thank you to netgalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review!
