Read Articles 1-3 but not 4 or the long introduction/preface. My not finishing this is not a sign that it's not an amazing piece of work - Walker writes with a fire in his belly on slavery and its extremely powerful. I just haven't had the time to finish it as new content has piled up for classes, and Articles 1-3 cover the bulk of the argument. It's a great tract though! And worth reading, both in part and in full.

Mr. David Walker's Appeal speaks truths!
Shamefully (and frighteningly) due to circumstances that we are currently experiencing in this country, some of the appeal still applies............

Walker's appeal is passionate and brilliant! I haven't read something like this from this time period before. Something where the author is done and ready to do something about it. It's well-written and easy to understand. I was moved by Walker and by his experiences.
