generally this book was good. I don't think it was a good as what everyone told me it was but I do think it is worth a read.
the beginning of the book is very well slow to me and it was hard for me to connect or really feel for any of the characters but the last few chapters are quite honestly my favorite and I'll probably reread the last few chapter rather than the whole books because I like them so much more.
I do think anyone interested in the book should read it because it is a classic at this point but I do think it a good read and much shorter than some other books so its faster to read.

Short and enjoyable, but I felt sleepy nearly every time I opened the book.

It's a much better experience after the second reading. More or less because I'm no longer in a classroom with an insane teacher breathing down my neck for reading companion notes and bullshit questions.
Gatsby remains a perfect example of the sprawling 1920's and the rise of materialism in America.

Honestly, pretty boring. I'd read it again to maybe see if there's some nuance that I missed, but overall it just felt like rich people being, honestly, just shitty people.

It was a really quick and easy read, but not really memorable to me. I loved the atmosphere and the vibe of the parties, but the book focused to heavily on things that weren’t of interest to me and focused too little on things that were interesting. I would have probably liked it more if it was more fleshed out. The characters were also pretty unlikeable and the ending affected me way less than I thought it would. I’m excited to watch the movie (the one with Leonardo DiCaprio) because it seems really good and right up my ally aesthetically.
