descriptionBasicaly all the covers in this little series are the same, so I am just going to copy and paste my previous comments since they pretty much apply to this cover as well. I LOVE this cover. Great use of graphics. Excellent representation of the story. Good composition. All that said, it loses a star because the author's name should NOT be the most prominent text on a book cover. EVER. PERIOD. Not only that but it is placed in the middle of the cover where the title should be. GAAH..that makes this OCD graphics designer CRAZY! *lol*description

descriptionWhile I enjoyed this one overall it was my least favorite of the trio. First, it took FOREVER for this one to get going. The first half of the book was so slow, and NOTHING happened but pages and pages of pointless blind dates. Secondly, it was blatantly obvious who the baddie was from the minute they were introduced. Unfortunately, because of that, the whole mystery aspect fell a bit short for me. Lastly, I wasn't a fan of the romance in this one. It felt underdeveloped, and for the first half of the book, I hated Ace. I mean the guy was an ass. Now the hero in book two was an ass as well, but at least I felt he had an interest in the heroine. In this one, the hero didn't even know who she was despite living next to her and interacting with her often. I also could have done with the pages and pages of them talking about how wonderful their dead spouses were. I get it they were the most perfect of perfectest people to have ever live. Dead spouses usually don't bother me, but it's a bit hard to connect to a couple if they are always talking about how perfect their previous love was.

Now, I know that all sound like I hated the book, but despite those issues, I found myself sucked in and turning the pages. This author's venture into romantic suspense has been a great success, and I have enjoyed all three of the books she has published so far. I hope we get even more in the very near future. Two thumbs up from yours truly.description

Blind Date was a great story. Although it did get off to a slow start but after a few chapters I was soon drawn in and it stayed that way throughout.

As for the actual story. The suspense was slow to build but enjoyable to read. However if I'm honest during the final confrontation between Hartley and the killer. I never felt she was in any real danger. I also did happen to guess who the killer was before it was revealed. Yet that wasn't all down to the story and really was only because there is a small pool of characters. And one in particular, just did a couple of things that seemed too coincidental. But otherwise I don't think I would of had a clue. So it was definitely more of a lucky guess than anything else.

As for the romance element it was very subtle. Which I really liked and the two main characters along with Hartleys best friend Taylor were all very likable. And I couldn't help rooting for them to survive this story in one piece. I would therefore happily recommend Blind Date to others. As it really was good.

3.5 stars.

One, I knew the killer right from the moment of introduction, thanks to all these years of reading romantic suspense.

Two it was a fast read and I thoroughly enjoy reading such books.

Three, the heroine and hero are incredibly smart. I loved the smart ‘Ace’ and soft yet string Hartley. Taylor was equally good too.

Four, the story is good except for the suspense which is not exactly a suspense, thanks!

Romantic suspense continues to be my favourite genre again!

This book was predictable but I still really enjoyed it. It was a cute 2nd chance romance with some edge thrown in. It wasn't as dark as I was hoping it would be but, like I said there was a thrilling edge to it. Even though I figured out the ending pretty much immediately, I still liked reading how everything was figured out & how the 2 characters fell for one another after tragedy.

3.5// I really enjoyed this book I just hated how I knew who the killer was right away. There was no mystery to the book and that took away from the plot overall. I enjoyed Ace and Hartley but the plot was not as good as I hoped bc I knew who the killer was.

Overall I liked this one, didn't love it, but it was a good, solid suspense novel. The banter of Hartley and Ace was great and one of the things that really kept me wanting to read more. However, the killer reveal was so predictable that I had to knock off one star just for that. If you're looking for a groundbreaking and totally original suspense, you might be a bit disappointed, but if you're looking for something quick, fun, and sexy this is a good read.
