This story is incredible. It showed that you are able to write a comprehensive and complex sci-fi world in 96 pages. I tend to get caught up in the idea that fantasy and sci-fi books have to be long to work, so it is always pleasantly surprising to find novellas that do the genre(s) justice. Binti's journey in this book is incredible. This novella was a journey of emotions, and I definitely think that it is a good first journey into Nnedi Okorafor's writing. I definitely plan to finish the trilogy, and check out some of her other work.

Gillade bokens idé men fann utförandet tråkigt.

This book was doing a ton in a short amount of time but I was along for the whole ride! It was a world I’m really really excited to continue in.

I tend to read a lot of very long books, and this was a good reminder that you really don’t need 500 pages to build an interesting world and complex characters! I was actually surprised how satisfied I was with the ending, usually I hate anything being over too quicky
