⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 stars!

Book 2 in the Rebel Blue Ranch series Swift and Saddled follows the story of handsome cowboy Weston Ryder and interior designer Ada Hart.

Weston is renovating the original homestead on Rebel Blue Ranch and hires Ada to help bring his vision to life. This is Ada’s big career break and she will do anything to ensure its success.

Woven into the story of their developing relationship as the renovation progresses, the narrative explores depression and coping mechanisms from Weston’s POV. And from Ada’s perspective tackling the after effects of leaving a controlling relationship and confidence issues she now struggles with. Both were respectfully covered although briefly in pockets throughout the story.

Weston is a gentle, protective and considerate man and has the patience to settle in for the long haul while Ada’s walls remain firmly in place. Once those walls come down though sparks fly and there is some spicy open door romance.

All of the favourite characters from the first book are back and feature throughout the story giving the feeling of a very close and supportive family environment you want to be a part of.

I enjoyed this book more than Done and Dusted I think, the storyline felt more solid to me and I really look forward to Book 3 coming out later this year.

Swift and Saddled is sweet. It was a lighthearted story despite some heavy mental health illness are highlighted by Miss Sage. I really like the story. I like the characters and the banter.

Miss Sage is relatively new author for me. But with this book, I can not wait to pick up the next book from her.

Review: Welp, it's official. I'm obsessed with Rebel Blue Ranch and with Lyla Sage. Picked up Done & Dusted on a whim based on some reviews I had seen on Bookstagram and I'm really glad I had the foresight to also recommend this one because I NEEDED to be able to read this one immediately after finishing the Done & Dusted.

And while I'll admit that Wes & Ada's story didn't pack as much of a punch for me as Emmy & Luke, it was such a slight difference in enjoyment I'm not even going to go into it. Both books were so fun and I continue to enjoy the characters, the family element, the settings, the romance/steam, and the plotlines. Absolutely solid series and I can't wait to for the next installment!!!
