I absolutely loved this prequel in this series.
We gew such a rich backstory of our 3 main characters, their families, and even their cat 🐱 we learned about what drew them to each other and to their specific talents which lead them to craft a beautiful car in the other books in this series.
This is also a cute book not only about friendship but about facing bullies and trying to bring people in even when it can be hard to do so which I think is a great message for kids reading this book. I love this series so much and would highly recommend everyone reads it. Again similar to the other two books I love the art style in this series and it really helps you become immersed in this world and the interchanging nature of English and Spanish words and references to indigenous language as well.

Lowriders, friendship, and bullying. There are three friends, a girl, a mosquito, and an octopus that are bullied by an ocelot, a buzzard, and a turkey that are in a gang together. Good story line in English with some Spanish mixed in.
