There is one poem in this collection which I will never forget, about a fruit market, the layout on the page and the vivid nature of the words used and how they interacted and danced with each other absolutely blew mind and I am absolutely in love with it.
At first I found this collection hard to connect with due to the nature of the poems being about pregnancy, motherhood and childbirth, however after discussions with friends I believe this collection is of value for anyone struggling with themselves or who wants to experience the ups and downs of life through another perspective, if for nothing else, the beauty of the language which Bower uses (whether for positive or negative impact) definitely has a direct impact on you as you read. Wonderful collection.
