Confess by Colleen Hoover

Oh God, Colleen Hoover has done it again. I honestly don't know how she does it. Confess is beautiful and probably one of saddest books she's written. Until now, I guess Hopeless/Losing Hope and Ugly Love were the saddest and this one just made it to the top.

Although Auburn's secret was kind of predictable, I knew there was more to it than what I thought. When I found out the whole truth, my poor heart suffered a lot. I can't imagine being in Auburn's situation, living in such despair. Jeez. I hate Fiona and Trey with all I have and I really wish Colleen had written a story in which they're punished. People like them shouldn't get away that easily. Of course that wasn't the only sad thing. All that story with Adam was just as painful. On the other hand, Owen was a breath of fresh air. He was such a good person. If only everyone could see that... Emory was great, too. She was really strange, but a good strange. I liked her character a lot!

So, of course I loved this book. I love everything this freaking genius writes. I hope Colleen Hoover keeps writing for a very long time, even though every single book of hers breakes my heart a bit.

Plotline:  Auburn tries to put her life back together after a few difficult years when she meets Owen, an artist who she unknowingly already has an emotional connection with. They have an undeniable connection but can they defy the odds pulling them a part?

I loved this 🥲 I found the characters to be endearing and loveable, and I was definitely rooting for them to end up together! The ending explaining their already existing connection was really sweet, and I really liked the artistic elements included in the book too.

I loveeed this book and I’m not a big Colleen Hoover girly. I loved the story line, I loved the main characters, I just straight up lovedddd. Part Two had so many plot twists I literally couldn’t put the book down! I can’t get over how it all tied together at the end I couldn’t even have guessed it.

This book was great. it was super fast pace and easy to completely dive into. These two people and their fast budding romance in a world full of pain and grief is beautiful. and seeing the words “I’ll love you forever, even when I can’t” broke me to a million pieces

"I'll love you forever, even when I can't." This was probably my favorite CoHo book (besides IEWU), I loved it so, so much. And I won't get into details but only one thing felt so off: the ending. It underwhelmed me somehow? Sigh.
